The Chess/Cadet EP features songs from the unmistakable signature sophistication style of Terry Callier with two early 70's tracks, “Lover”, and “Baby Take Your Time” both previously unreleased on vinyl. On the deeper side there are two incredible tracks from Fame Studios, Muscle Shoals, both also previously unreleased on 7” vinyl. Irma Thomas with the pleading “Let’s Do It Over” and Laura Lee’s magical take on “Sure As Sin”. Both tracks take these ears back to the long missed Soul Essence weekenders where emotion just oozed from the decks in the Jim Wray lounge.
