Newcomers / Soul Children - I'm Afraid Of Losing You / We're Getting Too Close - White Label Promo

We've never pressed promo copies for our releases, but we thought we'd have just a few for the Newcomers / Soul Children release, and strictly for DJs only. We'd planned to announce the release for March, to have the promo copies to distribute in February, and so the schedule was set with the pressing plant. Meanwhile, Tats played the Newcomers on radio shows from a carver we had cut. The test pressings arrived and were checked for audio quality. Let's just say there was a 'sound fault', which we found was on the master sound file that we'd sent to the pressing plant. It would take too long to explain, but the sound fault turned out to be Tats' cunning plan to expose bootleggers. The fuller story involves Nottingham Forest, and many expletives as we both gave contradictory instructions to the pressing plant.

After correcting the problem and having new pressing plates made; we finally received production copies three months later than planned. In the meantime, we'd sent sound files out to DJs in the absence of the planned promos, so the promo copies were then pretty much redundant.

So, we have just 30 white label promos going spare which we're offering for sale at £30, and we'll donate £10 to charity for each copy sold.
