Two fantastic and powerful group soul tracks from The Carolinas' Embers available on vinyl for the first time since their highly collectable original release on JCP Records in 1966. 'First Time' found the love it deserved at the Top Dog all-nighters in the UK when originally played by DJ Guy Hennigan to full dance floors. Coupled with the lesser dramatic of the sides 'I Wanna Be' holds its own as a great cover of the Manhattans and the later Pretenders releases for Carnival Records, makes this a great and significant double-sider.
